Mary Elizabeth Bisbee, 89, formerly of N. Kingsville, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Jefferson Health Care Center.
She was born October 13, 1923 in Geneva, Ohio, the daughter of the late Cletus and Zeliah (Helms) Klingler, and had been a lifelong area resident.
Mary graduated from Geneva High School. She married the love of her life Edson Bisbee on December 15, 1946. Mary worked for many years at the former Astatic Corporation.
Mrs. Bisbee was a member of the North Kingsville Presbyterian Church where she served for many years as a church Elder and Deacon. In her later years she attended the First United Methodist Church in Andover with her son.
Mary loved her cats, and also enjoyed walking at the Mall. She enjoyed doing crafts and ceramics and often entered her pieces in the shows at the Ashtabula County Fair.
She is survived by her children Edson (Christine) Bisbee, Jr., and Ronald (JoAnn) Bisbee both of Andover; grandchildren, Troy (Renee) Bisbee, Brenda (Michael) Kardohely, Jeremy (Mindy) Bisbee, and Michael (Nikki) Bisbee; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; sister, Pearl Ann Schaubert-Firestone of Jefferson; and former daughter-in-law, Barbara Bisbee.
Mrs. Bisbee was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44years, Edson Bisbee, Sr., in 1990; two sisters, Dorothy Sessler, and Marguerite Klingler; and her parents.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum, E. Center St., North Kingsville, with Rev. Vernon Palo officiating. Burial will follow.
Friends may call at the cemetery on Saturday from 10Am until the time of service at 11.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the N. Kingsville Presbyterian Church, 6546 Church St., Kingsville, 44048 or the Jefferson Health Care Center, Activities Dept., 222 East Beech St., Jefferson, 44047. Envelopes will be available at the service.
