Nancy Meinke, 81, of Conneaut, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at her home. She was born on April 5, 1935 in Conneaut, Ohio to Bertha L. (nee Smith) and Alvah D. Hazen. Nancy married the love of her life, Donald W. Meinke on November 27, 1954 in Conneaut, Ohio.
Mrs. Meinke, was a member of First Baptist Church of Conneaut. She enjoyed golfing in the Women’s Senior Golf League at Conneaut Shores and later Windy Hill. She enjoyed going to the casino’s and watching western movies, especially John Wayne.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald W. Meinke; children, Terry Jones, Keith Meinke, Beth Rose and Tom (Chris) Meinke; grandchildren, Mark, Colton and Benjamin Jones, Zachary (Sarah) Denzler and Gibby (Jon Ball) Meinke and Ashley and Wayne Meinke; great-granddaughters, Harlow and Alayna; sister, Faye (Norman) Gross; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Norman D. and Roland Hazen; son-in-law, Raymond Jones; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Meinke.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with Rev. Robert Guldenschuh, of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 A.M. until time of services at 1 P.M.
