Obituary of Rebecca Louise Hensel

Rebecca “Becky” Louise Hensel, 60, lifelong resident of Conneaut passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Thursday, May 5, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Becky was born on June 26, 1955 in Conneaut, Ohio the daughter of Twila (Borowsky) and Thomas E. McBride, Sr. She was a graduate of Conneaut High School. Becky married the love of her life, the late Bob Hensel on October 22, 1982. She was most recently employed with Chapin’s Hardware Store. Becky lived life for her family and grandchildren and going to their sporting events. She also enjoyed bowling, reading, boating and riding on the motorcycle with her husband. Becky is survived by her children, Brigette Hunt, Andrew (Melissa) Hunt, Eric (Raulinda Moldanado) Hunt, Katelyn (Roger) French and Tommy (Brandy) Hensel; step-children, Rob (Jeanine) Hensel, Dawn Marie (Clarence) Lane and Jill Moss; mother, Twila Morrison; brothers, Thomas (Lynn) McBride, Kevin (Tammy) McBride and Michael (Nancy) McBride; sister, Lisa (David) Kovacic; and her 26 grandchildren, that she adored. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas E. McBride, Sr.; husband, Bob Hensel; a son, Martin Hunt; and brother, Robert Woodworth A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 5 to 8 P.M. A celebration of Becky’s life will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
