Obituary of Jane H. Eighmy

Jane H. Eighmy, 88, of Evergreen St., Conneaut passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, May 9, 2016 surrounded by her family. Jane was born on July 6, 1927 in Conneaut, Ohio the daughter of Renah E. (Campbell) and Clarence W. Hibler. She married the love of her life, Richard A. Eighmy on August 9, 1950. Jane was retired from the Astatic Corporation. Mrs. Eighmy was a devoted member of the Federated Church in East Springfield. She enjoyed antiquing, traveling, crocheting, crossword puzzles and playing the organ. Jane's greatest joy was taking pictures of her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Rachael A. Stemm; granddaughters, Laura Kay Stemm, Rebecca Stemm and Sarah Fields; and her sister, Dorothy Olson. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rebecca Weithman; and her beloved husband, Richard A. Eighmy in November of 2015. Funeral services will be held, Monday, May 16, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with Rev. Edward Huntley, officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. A calling hour will be held on Monday from 12 Noon until time of services at 1 PM.
