Obituary of Gary Edward Meabon

Gary Edward Meabon, 75, of Conneaut, died Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his home after a brief illness.
Gary was born on March 25, 1941 in Edinboro, Pennsylvania the son of Earl and Elizabeth (nee Reichart) Meabon. He graduated from Randolph East Mead High School in Guys Mills, Pennsylvania Class of 1959. After graduation he served honorably in the United States Navy aboard the USS Forrestal.
Mr. Meabon, was employed for 14 years with Emco-Wheaton in Conneaut and later was employed with Roberts Foundry in Greenwood, South Carolina as a pattern maker. He retired from Amcast in Meadville as a pattern maker. Gary was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, VFW and the American Legion.
He is survived by his son, David (Suzanne) Meabon, of Guys Mills, PA; granddaughters, Erica, Amanda and Andrea; sister, Bonda (George) Dahlin, of Albion, PA; his dear companion, Doris Wilson of Conneaut, OH; and mother of his son, Beverly (nee Gruber) Mangus.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Meabon and Elizabeth Meabon-Bennett; step-father of 48 years, James W. Bennett; brother, Rodney Meabon; and his wife, Sylvia (nee Dalrymple) Meabon.
At his request no services will be observed.
