Obituary of Paul A. O'Leary
Conneaut- Paul A. O’Leary, 70, passed away after a brief illness at UH-Geauga Medical Center.
He was born on October 16, 1948 in Erie, Pennsylvania the son of Bernard and Walburga Ernst O’Leary. Paul graduated from East High School Class of 1966. For many years Paul managed many retail stores including, Loblaw’s Grocery, Lawson’s, Dairy Mart and Circle K.

He was born on October 16, 1948 in Erie, Pennsylvania the son of Bernard and Walburga Ernst O’Leary. Paul graduated from East High School Class of 1966. For many years Paul managed many retail stores including, Loblaw’s Grocery, Lawson’s, Dairy Mart and Circle K.
He was a faithful member of the Corpus Christi Parish, and attended both St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he married the love of his life, Lynnea Laidley on October 25, 1969, as well as St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. Paul enjoyed collecting classic cars and going on family vacations. He also loved spending time with family at gatherings and picnics. Paul was also an animal lover.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Lynnea O’Leary; sister, Karen Brinklow; half-sister, Eilene Whitfield; sister-in-law, Marlene Laidley and her children, James (Kim) Laidley and Kirsten (Ryan) McElyea; dear Aunt, Clara King; special cousins and support, Kathy and Tom Sorenson; many nieces and newphews; and close friend Mary Sereno.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Patty Lijewski, Ann O’Lone, Richard, James and Bernard O’Leary.
Calling hours will be held, Monday, April 29, 2019 from 6PM to 8 PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut. Mass of Christian burial will be held, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 10:00AM at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 744 Mill St. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorials in his memory may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
