Conneaut- Janet L. Coy, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
She was born on January 7, 1947 the daughter of Lloyd Lee and Arlene May (Fenton) Hughart.
Janet loved cooking, bowling, dancing and coloring. She enjoyed listening to her brother-in-law Ray Coy, sing country music. Janet loved children, babysitting and "adopted" many of the neighborhood kids. She also collected many Elvis Presley and Owl Figurines. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family.
Janet is survived by her son, Steven H. Coy, Jr. of Conneaut; daughters, Vickie (Billy) Vaughan of New Jersey, Ann (Brian, Sr.) Popp of New Jersey, and Loretta (Joel) Lett of Conneaut; brother, Lloyd (Tina) Hughart of Dorset; sister, Kathy (Gale) Collins of Kentucky; grandchildren, Kristianna Sigley, Steven Coy, III and Rayleigh Smith, Brittany and T.J. Vaughan, Katelyn and Brian Popp, Jr., Elizabeth Anderson, Mariah and Bradley Bottorf, Zack and Courtney Lett and Chelsea Bunner; and 15 great-grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Steven H. Coy, Sr.; sister, Florence Cedoz; brother, Donald Hughart; grandson, Shawn M. Vaughan; and a great-grandson, Michael B. Monroe.
Calling hours will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 from 5PM-7PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 7PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available.
