Obituary of Sandra Ann Seifert
Sandra A. Seifert passed peacefully on Friday, November 8. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the young age of 14. Sandy is now breathing the fresh air of Heaven – no more breathing treatments, no more medicine and no more struggling.
Seven-year-old Luke Pushinsky – a boy with a heart for God and others – created the image that is being used in Sandy’s obituary. His drawing portrays her being welcomed by Jesus. “Miss Sandy is standing next to Jesus in Heaven, happy and healthy with her arms raised up, praising God. That is Jesus with light all around Him and the blue is the river of life.”
Sandy was born on August 4, 1943, in Michigan City, IN to the parents of Joseph and Elaine (Glossenger) Magro. On April 29, 1961, Sandy married Max W. Seifert. During their years of marriage, they enjoyed motorcycling together across the country visiting family and friends.
During her later years, Sandy genuinely looked forward to spending time her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She lived vicariously through their lives; she was so incredibly proud of their little life accomplishments. Each child brought much joy to her heart.
Although Sandy worked various jobs throughout her lifetime, the most recent was that of a server at the Conneaut Perkins Restaurant where she was employed 28 years. She thoroughly enjoyed the many friendships she developed. Anyone that may have been served by her would know that she had an infectious smile, a kind nature and a servant’s heart.
A special thank you to the many nurses that cared for our mother during her illness. Your gentle touch, words of kindness and simply taking a moment to sit and chat with her for a bit were truly appreciated.
Sandy is survived by her children, Mark (Sharon) Seifert and Joyce (Roger) Litwiler of Conneaut and Ruth (Paul) Carter of Menifee, CA; grandchildren, Roger (Lorrie) Litwiler and Amber (Steve) Krause of Conneaut, Kristin Litwiler of McKinney, TX, and Melissa (Eric) Lazerow of Lacey, WA; great-grandchildren, Kaylah, Lawren, and Little Buddy Litwiler, Spencer and Slater Krause and Carson, Jaxson and Hudson Lazerow; brother, Joseph (Mary) Magro and sister, Deana Mietz and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Seifert was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Richard.
A graveside service will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in Pierpont, OH on Friday, November 15, at 11am.
The Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 345 Main St. Conneaut, is honored to serve the family.
