Obituary of Scott C. Thomas

Conneaut- Scott C. Thomas, 58, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 1, 2020 at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center. He was born on April 20, 1962 in Conneaut, Ohio the son of Charles G. and Harriet L. (Weaver) Thomas. Scott graduated from Conneaut High School Class of 1980. He was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and remained a lifelong resident of Conneaut. Scott was employed with CSP as a shipping clerk for over 36 years. In his younger years he enjoyed racing 3 wheelers where he earned his nick name “Spaz”. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. Scott was an avid golfer and took many trips to Myrtle Beach to golf with family and friends. He absolutely loved his family and was a proud papa of four dear grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by his family and friends, many of whom are childhood friendships and the stories they shared will forever remain treasures of the heart. Scott is survived by the love of his life, Wendy M. (Plank) Thomas whom he married on September 5, 1987; son, Steven (Kelsie) Thomas; sister, Tammy (Dan) Ellingson; brother, Danny (Leslie) Thomas; grandchildren, Kataraina, Averianna, Arabella and Oliver Scott Thomas; nieces and nephews, Sam (Dustin) Hargis, Jamie (Joe) Redden, Jacki (Becky) Thomas and Megan Clancy; sister and brother-in-law, Valorie and Brad Somppi; and his Irish cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 5PM-8PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut. Social Distancing will be observed, masks not required/nor provided. Private family services will be observed.
