Obituary of Dorothy L. Camplese

Dorothy L. Camplese, 80, of Kingsville, was received into the loving arms of her heavenly Father on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at UH- Geauga Medical Center. Dorothy was born on February 1, 1934 in Ashtabula the daughter of Benjamin and Stella (Bugby) Simmons. She was a Kingsville High School Class of 1952 graduate and married the love of her life Louis J. Camplese, Jr. on September 22, 1955. Mrs. Camplese was a faithful member of the Kingsville Presbyterian Church, where she served as Deacon and taught Sunday school. She was also a Girl Scout leader for many years while her children were young. She became the "unofficial" grandmother to the many children she watched in her home over the past 40 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening and reading. She especially loved her family and grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Kathi (Bill) Spangenberg of McMurray, PA and Leslie (Phil) Jensen of Lakeville, MN; grandchildren, Eric, Ryan and Amy Spangenberg and Brandon and Paige Jensen; sister, Loretta Lute of Sheffield; and brothers, James (Cherie) Simmons of Austinburg, Richard "Chuck" (Marilyn) Simmons of Ashtabula and Thomas Simmons of Kingsville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Louis J Camplese, Jr. in 2005; sister, Marilyn Simmons; and sister-in-laws, Esther and Marti Simmons Funeral services will be held, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 12 NOON at the Kingsville Presbyterian Church, 3049 West Main St. (Rte 84), with William Daywalt and Rev. Mary Susan Pisano, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the Kingsville Presbyterian Church on TODAY, December 3, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. and on Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services at 12 NOON. In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Dorothy may be given to the Kingsville Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 41, Kingsville, Ohio, 44048. Envelopes will be available at the church.
