Obituary of Kenneth R. Cotton

Conneaut- Kenneth R. Cotton, Sr., 90, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
He was born on October 4, 1930 in Geneva, Ohio the son of Harry Garfield and Helen (Phelps) Cotton. Ken attended Geneva Schools and resided most of his life in the Jefferson and Andover areas, before moving to Conneaut where he lived the past 15 years.
He was employed with Best Sand Company in Chardon and the Newcomb Lumber Company in Andover, where he did many jobs, including operating heavy equipment.
Ken was a member of the Conneaut Church of Christ. He loved reading and watching Westerns, going for walks and catching a football or baseball game. While living in Conneaut he enjoyed being able to walk to the stadium on Friday nights.
He is survived by his children, Jackie Cotton of Warren, Dorothy Cotton of Florida, Barbara Cotton of Florida, Ken (Tracy) Cotton, Jr. of Dorset, David (Carla) Cotton of Williamsfield; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Len) Delac and Betty Gautner; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Cotton.
Ken was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice I. Cotton in 1995 and his wife, Patricia A. Cotton in 2021; two children, Darlene Falton and Eugene “Ricky” Cotton; brother, Harry “Dutch” Cotton; and his brother-in-law, Albert PIC

A Calling hour will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 6PM-7PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, where a funeral service will follow at 7PM with Pastor Tim Kraus, officiating. A graveside service, will be announced at a later date to be held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Memorials in memory of Ken may be given to the Conneaut Church of Christ, 448 W. Main Rd., Conneaut, Ohio, 44030.
