Obituary of Carol A. Witterman

Painesville- Carol A. Witterman, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Grand River Health and Rehab with her husband Dale by her side. Carol was born on March 24, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of Sam and Frances (Orsan) Marshall. She graduated from Collinwood High School. Carol retired from Euclid General Hospital where she was the head cook. She was catholic by faith and a big kid at heart. Carol enjoyed bowling, crafting and coloring. She loved animals, and she always had a cat and dog in her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother-in-law, Patrick Salvatore. Carol is survived by her husband, Dale H. Witterman, whom she married on August 8, 1981 in Euclid, Ohio; step-daughter, Chrissy (Tim) McCartney and Stephanie Newman; siblings, Christine Salvatore, Priscilla Marshall, James Marshall and Rose Marshall; grandchildren, Shelby and TJ McCartney; and her nephews, Kevin and Jason Salvatore. Private graveside services were observed. Burial was at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Western Reserve or the Lake County Humane Society.
