Obituary of Diane J. Parks

Conneaut- Diane J. Parks, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2022, surrounded by family. She was so brave and remained optimistic as her health faded, but her love for family and friends kept her going. She was born on October 7, 1948 in Conneaut, Ohio the daughter of N. Keith and Miriam (Vasti) Anderson. Diane graduated from Conneaut High School Class of 1966. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Diane was employed over the years for American Monument in Columbus, Dillard's in Ashtabula, Biscotti's Restaurant, and the Broad Street Mini Mart. You would often find her and Tom, dining out at the various restaurants they enjoyed, Crow's Nest, Sparkys and Biscotti's to name a few. As her health declined, she was adamant that they continue to get out every day and loved her visiting and socializing with friends at the local restaurants. Diane also had a special place in her heart for animals. She is survived by her husband, Tom Parks, whom she married on November 13, 2010; daughter, Rhiannon McCorkle; stepdaughter, Kelsey Parks; siblings, Gary (Pam) Anderson, Gerry (Shelley) Anderson, Chuck Anderson; brother-in-law, Michael Streva; and many dear nieces, nephews and friends that will miss her. Diane was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Linda Streva. A calling hour will be held Monday, November 28, 2022, from 11:00AM at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, 3140 E. Center St., Kingsville where a service will follow at 12:00PM, with Deacon Nicholas Iarrocci, officiating. Should friends desire, the family suggests memorials in her memory be given to the Ashtabula APL, 5970 Green Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004.
