Obituary of Richard Eugene Sage

Richard Eugene Sage, 85, formerly of Conneaut, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at his stepdaughter’s home.
He was born November 10, 1937, in West Hickory, Pennsylvania, the son of Wesley and Elizabeth (Allio) Sage.
Mr. Sage moved to the Conneaut area in 1980 upon his retirement from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service. Mr. Sage was a Vietnam Veteran and served as an Aircraft Mechanic and Aerospace Ground Equipment Specialist.
He was employed with the Ohio Dept of Transportation (ODOT), District 4, Conneaut, OH, for 19 years in the Highway Maintenance Dept.
He enjoyed Archery, Painting, Hunting and Fishing.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Gabriele (Timothy) Kennedy of Howard, OH; and his Sister, Bonnie Wells of Oil City, PA.
He was preceded in death by his Wife of 32 years, Paulett Juliane Helf, Parents; Wesley and Elizabeth Allio; four Brothers; Roland “TEX”, Norman, Thomas, and James Sage; and a Sister Ardys Kerns.
A private graveside service with military honors will be Held, Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2:00PM with family and friends at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville Ohio. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Cowle Post #151.
