Obituary of Isabel M Jones

CONNEAUT- Isabel M. Jones, 97, formerly of Marcellus, New York, passed away, Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Lake Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Spafford, New York, on April 4, 1917, the daughter of the late William and Elsie (Harvey) Alford. She lived in Marcellus, NY, and N. Fort Myers, FL, before moving to Conneaut In 1995. Isabel was a lifetime member of Marcellus United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Powellston Business School, in Syracuse, NY. She enjoyed reading, crosswords, and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, LaFayette (Debbie) D. Jones II; and her parents. Isabel is survived by her children, LaFayette (Debbie) D. Jones III of Buffalo, NY, Melanie (Gary) Pape of Conneaut, OH, and Elsie (Paul)Larson of Montgomery, TX; her grandchildren, Michelle Jones of Buffalo, NY, Matthew (Jodie) Pape, Margaret (Dan) Zappitelli, both of Conneaut, OH, Michael Pape of Macedonia, OH, and Paul Scott Larson of Houston, TX; and great-grandchildren, Nathan and Jozlyne Pape, Dominic and Mia Zappitelli, and Jackson Pape. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July27, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the New LEAF United Methodist Church, 283 Buffalo St., Conneaut with Pastor Jan Walsh officiating. Friends may call from 2 until the time of service at 3PM. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Skaneateles, New York. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the New Leaf United Methodist Church Building Fund, 283 Buffalo St., Conneaut.
