Conneaut- Sharon K. Matchik, 79, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness at UH-Ahuja Medical Center on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Sharon was born on January 13, 1945 in Conneaut, Ohio the daughter of Donald W. and Marcine (Prendergast) Udell. She was a 1963 graduate of Conneaut High School. Sharon moved to Cleveland after high school where she worked for Ford Motor Credit and Mr. Coffee, and later returned to Conneaut where she worked for the former SCM, where she worked as a purchaser.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and Women of the Moose, and enjoyed the friendships she made there over the years.
Sharon had a wonderful sense of humor and was very quick witted. She also cherished the trips to the many casinos with her sisters.
She is survived by her sisters, Donna (Dick) Dibbs and Terry Wilson; her step-children, Vicki (Tim) Fetterman, Mark Matchik and Dawn (Tom) Polley; and her cat, Jake, that she adored (the family is looking to rehome, Jake, if you're interested in adopting him.)
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Martin M. Matchik; and her brothers, Tom Udell and Bill Udell
In keeping with her wishes no services will be observed.
