Celeste L. "Sally Gross" Mancini , 66, of Ashtabula, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center, after a brief illness.
She was born on October 30, 1947 in Niagara Falls, New York the daughter of Vincent and Frances (Chiasera) Mancini. Celeste attended StarPoint Central Schools in Lock Port, New York, graduating in 1965.
She served her country honorably during the Vietnam Era in the United States Army. Celeste received her bachelor degree from Kent State University, Ashtabula Campus. She attended Elam Christian Center and the Geneva Senior Center, where she enjoyed socializing and participating in their activities. Celeste enjoyed Christian music, reading and crocheting. She truly enjoyed helping others and especially "her people" at the Ashtabula County Board of Developmentally Disabled.
Mrs. Mancini is survived by her husband, William E. Kutscher, Jr., whom she married on August 9, 2009; her children, Michele (Lee Hamilton) Rose, Michael Gross, and Timothy Gross; step-children, Joshua, Malori and Justin Kutscher; father of her children, Gordon Gross; brother, Vincent (Beverly) Mancini, Jr.; grandchildren, Scarlet and Maverick Rose and Gabriella Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gloria Marotta; and a niece, Bobbi Marotta.
A memorial service will be held, Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Foursquare Gospel Church FCC, 641 Mill St., Conneaut with Pastor Daniel Halstead, officiating.
