Obituary of Nancy L. Wofford

Nancy L. Wofford, 58, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the David Simpson Hospice House, Cleveland. She was born January 19, 1955 in Conneaut, Ohio to Robert and Sally (nee Peck) Downes. Nancy attended Conneaut High School and became and LPN and was employed with the Ashtabula County Nursing Home and The Villa. She was a member of Apostolic Faith Church of God. Nancy enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and working in her yard, as well as raising poodles. She loved her family and grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her mother, Sally Downes; children, Morris Wofford, Jr., Cynthia Williams and Matthew Wofford; granddaughters, Diamond K. Robinson, Amberlynn and Crystalmarie Williams; brother, Robert (Lisa) Downes; her sister, Sally (Steve) Drew; and her brother-in-law, Jim Wright. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Downes and a sister, Sylvia Wright. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut. Friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services at 1 PM. A memorial luncheon will follow services at the Conneaut Optimist Club, 514 Harbor St., Conneaut. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Nancy may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
