Obituary of Elsie Denning

Elsie Denning, 94, formerly of Church St., North Kingsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Country Club Retirement Campus.
Elsie was born the daughter of Tom and Eva (Muze) Sharko on October 26, 1919 in Makoti, North Dakota. She was a member of the North Kingsville Presbyterian Church and retired from the Astatic Corporation. Elsie was very involved with the North Kingsville Fire Department, especially when her husband, Howard, served as chief. Even after Howards's passing Elsie remained a strong supporter of the North Kingsville Fire Department Women's Auxillary.
Mrs. Denning is survived by her son, James E. Denning of West Virginia; grandchildren Bradford Denning of Oregon, Matthew Denning of West Virginia and Karen Rutledge of Texas; and sister, Tena Sharko of Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard L. Sharko; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held, 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with Pastor Kenneth Ayers, of North Kingsville Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services at 11 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Elsie may be given to the North Kingsville Fire Dept., PO BOX 318, North Kingsville, Ohio, 44068. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
